LEARNING LAB BOOTCAMP: Influencing Private Sector Action on SDGs in India
27-28 June 2019 | Patna, Bihar
Engaging with business and the private sector on issues of sustainable development, human rights and accountability is multi-faceted and complex. It requires specific strategies and skills. To ensure that business delivers on the expectations laid out in the SDGs, it is important that civil society groups engage with business to hold them accountable— ensure they do no harm and actively bring positive change in the lives of people through progressive policies.
Oxfam is organizing a learning platform for civil society representatives for engaging with the private sector. Practitioners from Bihar and Jharkhand working on a wide range of issues related to sustainable development, human rights and business accountability will bring their diverse experiences and learn from each other.
Over the course of the two-day Learning Lab Bootcamp, participants will learn, understand and develop strategies to engage businesses using a variety of tools and techniques, through collaborative learning, discussions, group exercises and experience-sharing.
The expenses for participating in the Learning Lab Bootcamp, including travel and accommodation, will be sponsored by Oxfam.
The Learning Lab has limited seats. To apply, please submit the completed application form before 24 May 2019.
